My Approach

The psychotherapy I offer is both systematic and systemic. I treat the patient’s problem by taking into account the elements of his/her physical and psychic systems as well as their interactions with their environment.

It is thus a global approach that explores manifold realms: family heritage, education, personal experiences and feelings, health, employment and marital difficulties, joys and fears, behaviors, along with personal, collective, philosophical, religious and artistic values. Together, the patient and I also examine their interrelationships.

My starting point is the firm belief in the unique and untapped energy that exists in everyone. By having faith in it, I create an invisible space of confidence and liberty, without judgment, in which the patient can express himself/herself without constraint.

This psychotherapeutic treatment is usually short, which is why we call it “brief therapy.” On average, it lasts forty hours per year over a two/three year period.

Brief therapy focuses on consciousness alone. I compare it to the enlightenment of one’s inner labyrinth. Together, we build clarity and find the exit. The process is not easy. Despite initial discomfort, pain allows us to know ourselves better and grow so that we can reduce it or even make it disappear.

To that end, I developed my own therapeutic method that consists of four phases: clarification, awakening, learning, and application. Together, they provide the following benefits:

  • Thinking more objectively about oneself and life in general
  • Accepting oneself with all one’s strengths and weaknesses
  • Being in contact with one’s energies and using them
  • Becoming able to value oneself in a fair and realistic manner
  • Trusting and loving oneself
  • Becoming responsible for one’s ideas, feelings, words and actions

As in agricultural labor, brief therapy digs furrows, removes weeds, and prepares the soil for seeds, all the while following each person’s rhythm. This therapeutic approach is accessible to everyone.

Brief therapy can lead to psychoanalysis – treatment in depth and greater detail. The passage from the first to the second creates continuity in the patient’s development and firmly roots the therapeutic relationship.

The most beautiful gift I receive is to see men and women realize their potential and put their lives on track.
